ABC Boats - 60ft

This is a 60ft narrowboat, with hull and topsides being built by ABC Boats

Build Specification:

• Shell – 60 Ft Cruiser Stern, Steel 10/6/5/4/ spec. Mooring studs fore and aft, roof ring, integral rails on roof, steel rear door and sliding hatch, steel front doors

• 4 anodes

• Spray foam insulation and battening

• Primed top and hull blacked with 2 pack epoxy

• 4 mushroom vents and 4 door vents in front and back doors

• 1indows – 4 fixed 15” portholes, 2 drop back vent 15” portholes, 2 36x21 windows, 4 oblong windows for pigeon boxes. All double glazed dark grey powder coated

• Plastic water tank (300 litres approx.) made from 9mm CNC cut polypropylene sheets welded together inside and outside

• 1 side door

• 40hp Barrus Shire engine, stern gear and commissioned

• 2 pigeon boxes with oblong windows

Recently painted (May 2022) by Matthew Harvey

• Sandblasted back to steel

• 2 coats of anti corrosive primer

• 3 coats of high build undercoat

• 2 coats of coach enamel

• 2 coats of raddle (satin) on roof

• 3 coats of coach enamel on coachlines

• New blacking – 2 pac epoxy

Layout

Cruiser Stern

• 2 x Gas lockers, 1 connected to gas supply to boat.

• Engine – Barrus Shire 40hp

• Starter battery and 2 leisure batteries (new Jan 2023)

• Diesel Tank

Entrance via rear doors on Cruiser Stern leading to living area:

• Twin coil 180L Hot Water tank (heated through wood burning stove and electric immersion)

• Built in sofa with storage underneath

• Electrical and control cupboard (including galvanic isolator, MasterVolt battery charger etc)

• 12 Kw Condor Victoria wood burning stove with back boiler, (oven and large hotplate). Back boiler connected to Hot Water tank and 3 x radiators throughout the boat.

Galley:

• Various built in cupboards

• 12v Shoreline Fridge Freezer

• Breakfast bar with shelves under

Single Bedroom:

• High sleeper

• Small wardrobe

• Plenty of space underneath bed
